City and Colour’s Dallas Green has teamed up with pop sensation Alecia Moore (Pink) to create folk duo YOU + ME. The two have collaborated and composed every song on this ten-track album that ranges from dark sombre blues, to more radio friendly pop folk. Track nine, Open Door is your classic country ballad, whereas blues inspired number, Love Gone Wrong, rings strong of Green’s original sound with the addition of Moore’s signature vocals. This is a project that runs the risk of not working, but fortunately uses the artists’ strengths to win the day and make this a captivating release.
