If you’re all about lovesick emo-rock, consider Oslow the hopeless romantics outside your window with a boom box in the pouring rain. The sound quality of their six-track EP isn’t as bright as it could be but the musicianship is perfectly ablaze. The grimy ether in Sydney makes for great angst, and in this case, great music from these four guys, fresh out of high school. Blue on Blue sets the romantic rock tone, bringing in grunge influences on Deer in the Works, a somewhat indie/hard-core feel with Desert Dog Road, before finishing with their moody ballad, Six Feet. It’s the sound of adolescence in one neat little package.
